Through the Mekong Life 4 Days

The tour starts off in Ho Chi Minh city, you will meet our guide at the meeting point and then head to Ben Tre - a rural province belonging to Mekong Delta and about 130 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh city. 

You will be dropped off at Phong Nam Pier and embark the slow boat on Chet Say river. 

Stop en route to experience some workshops to learn and try making traditional products. One of them is the coconut workshop where you can see how many things people can make out a simple coconut from candies to decoration. 

To have a better understanding of the life of the people in the south of Vietnam up close, we will make a stop at a local village by a small canal. Here you will get the chance to try weaving a straw mat with instruction from the inhabitants. Coming up next, you can choose from riding a “xe loi” (a motorized trishaw) or ride a bicycle to go further into the village. On the way, you can take some shots of the scene of farmers doing their daily routine like farming, growing plants, cattling, harvesting and plowing with simple tools. 

After a long morning, time to have lunch at a local house and freshen up for the afternoon. 

When you are ready to go, we will head back to the pier by boat and hop on the ride to Can Tho and stay there for a night.

Rise and shine for the morning boat ride to Cai Rang Market starting from Ninh Kieu Quay.

You will be overwhelmed by how vibrant the floating market is and how many tropical and exotic fruits being sold within your reach are. Various of fruits are on display like mango, banana, star apple, jackfruit, dragon fruit, durian, etc. and they are sold at a really price.

Have lunch at a local restaurant. 

Prepare for another car drive to Chau Doc in the afternoon and freshen up yourself at the hotel in Chau Doc for the rest of the day. 

Today is time for an excursion on boat to a rural village in Chau Doc. Located close to the border of Vietnam and Cambodia, Chau Doc is filled with a diverse culture of the Vietnamese, Chinese, Cham and Khmer communities. 

After the morning boat ride, we transfer back to the hotel for lunch. 

Apart from the diverse culture and the lovely scene of the river banks, Chau Doc owns a handful of temples with distinctive architecture. 

We will make our stop at Sam mountain where contains Ba Chua Xu temple, Tay An pagoda and Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb. 

Then the rest of the day will at your leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city in a private car.
